PhilRights is an example of NGO in the Philippines. The organization was established in 1991 by the Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates (PAHRA).

Over the past 20 years, the Philippine Human Rights Information Center, or PhilRights, has remained at the forefront of research and information work on human rights and development issues.

The organization envisions a just, democratic, peaceful, and prosperous Philippines founded on a culture of human rights and gender equity.

PhilRights lead the way in human rights information, education, research and monitoring, and documentation work, and believes that every Filipino should be able to claim and defend their human rights and dignity.
