The idea to establish a non-governmental organization that will cater specifically to women was born in 1988. The Women Foundation Nepal, also known as WFN, traced its history to the late 80s. A time when a group of passionate women chooses to take matters into their own hands by establishing an organization that will help women and children who have been abused, victimized, and plagued by extreme poverty.
WFN is on a mission to create a violence-free society where women and children will have the opportunities to access quality education, skills acquisition, and jobs.
In addition, the organization provides women and children with a safe Shelter Home while also taking care of all their needs, including legal assistance and proper medical care.
The Women Foundation Nepal is committed to empowering women and children. Hence, providing free scholarships, micro-credits, and training for women in rural areas.
